A few years ago Phil fulfilled a dream by acquiring a 1974 Dobro 33D. The sound of that guitar created a big shift in his musical interests and focus. In 2002 Phil acquired a 1930 National Triolian and a 12-fret Martin 000-15. These guitars have inspired new songwriting and re-connected him with his early love for country blues and particularly artists like Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Tampa Red and Big Bill Broonzy. Congratulations to:

They are going to make a wonderful addition to the board. They all have some great new ideas and loads of enthusiasm to make them happen! We also had a great afternoon of music, food, and friendship. Don Campbell, Dan Drayer, Shanna and the Hawk, David Smith, Janice O'Rourke, Ben Meiklejohn, Heather Caston, Phil Kaelin, Mark Steele, Rocky Hall, Doug Kolmer, Marc Rodrique, myself and others played some great tunes. Once again, congratulations to all the new board members and to the Association for it's good fortune in having them! This coming year has a lot of great new things happening, so stay tuned!
