MAINE SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION

1st ANNUAL MIXER

Maine Songwriters Association to Host 1st Mixer and Open House

The Maine Songwriters Association will host its 1st Mixer and Open House at Andy’s Pub in Portland’s Old Port District at 95 Commercial Street…next to Gilbert’s Chowder House…on Tuesday July 27, 2010 from 5 PM to 9 PM. This event is free and open to the public.

“The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of what the MSA is…and what services we can offer to budding songwriters and musicians…and hopefully gain additional membership. Songwriting in itself if an art and we’d like to assist the many musicians in writing good solid songs which they’ll be proud of” Board Member Marc P. Mailhot said.

During the Open House there will be live entertainment provided by MSA Members, and excellent networking opportunities with the MSA Board members and Membership to discuss opportunities to learn, plan future activities and generally discuss the music business and songwriting itself.  Local merchants will also have “onsite” specials and coupons for those attending. Immediate onsite member sign-ups will be available.

Andy’s Pub will also have “meal deal and drink” combos for the event.

Whether you are a musician or not, this will be an opportunity to see what the Maine Songwriters Association is all about and witness another proud Maine organization adding to the Maine cultural arts and music scene.
