Basic Membership: 
Cost:    Free!
Benefits: You get an MSA website profile and you receive the MSA newsletter.
 
Full Membership:
Cost: $20 per year (read about the introductory $10 fee for 2009 below.)
Benefits:  You get the Basic membership benefits plus:
-    You are eligible to perform in MSA events (including the Thursday Night
     MSA Showcase - note that ANYONE can perform in the open mic)
-    You get reduced fees on MSA seminars, workshops, and other events
-    You are included in affiliated memberships with other organizations, like the Folk Alliance
 
Lifetime Membership:
Cost: a one-time $200 payment.
Benefits: You get all the benefits of Full Membership, plus
-    You never have to pay MSA membership fees again!
-    You get free admission to all MSA events and programs of any kind!
-    Your name appears on a special "Lifetime Members" page on the MSA
     website
-    You get to be a huge help to the MSA in getting these programs off the
     ground with some good initial funding!
 
Any member in our database who has not yet paid for a Full or Lifetime membership will retain their Basic membership benefits.
 
If you pay for a Full membership before October 1, 2009, you may pay the introductory fee of $10 for a 2009 Full membership.
 
After September 30, 2009, the Basic membership fee is $20.  If you pay this fee in the last three months of any year (October through December), you will be paid up through December of the following year as well.
