I am a local singer/songwriter/guitar player. I am a former member of the duo Jeezum Crowe. I now have a regular supporting crew, the Boondock Blues Band. I play mostly original blues, alt. country, folk, and rock. My first CD "Boondock Blues" was recorded December '05 at Studio EZ in Freedom, and it is now available at all shows and online at www.cdbaby.com/cd/shawnmercer. Boondock Blues is a lively blend of acoustic songs; strolling from upbeat blues, through old time country, around something near groovy bluegrass, and back around to fresh heartfelt folk.

I have been performing in the central Maine area for a few years now. Past performances include WERU's Full Circle Summer Fair, the Common Ground Fair, the Unity Center for the Performing Arts, The Maine Blues Festival in Naples, The Grande Auditorium in Ellsworth, and other area festivals and pubs.
